A new community radio station broadcasting live every Saturday in August 2022 as part of Channels, Associate Artist Programme, Edinburgh Art Festival.
Background Noise is an ongoing sound and print project conceived by Emmie McLuskey.
The project brings together those interested in the context of the Union Canal in Edinburgh and the questions it raises around water, trade, technology, community, land, environment and their intersections with capitalism to talk, reflect and respond. With contributions from local and international guests.
Emmie McLuskey is an artist based in Glasgow. She works with other artists to produce collaborative work; this has previously taken the form of publications, events, objects, conversations, writing and exhibitions.
